My client wanted to create a logo for their political media/advocacy organization, New Momentum Coalition. The design vision was to utilize a bold, domineering isometric illustration of the Washington Monument paired with the name of the organization in bold typography.
In the end, the client was so happy with all the iterations provided and I was so excited to work on this project since I haven’t had much opportunity to work my logo skills in awhile.
First, I did some rough sketches with pen and paper. Then, I moved to digital sketches, shown below:
Next, I created black and white comps to share with the client. For the presentation, I showed black and white and reverse options of each logo as well as a corresponding text-only version of the logo. In the initial request, the client had mentioned wanting to explore the option of using the logo with and without the monument illustration.
Finally, I shared color versions of the chosen logo, concept 1.
The client loved the process and left the following testimonial: “Kylie’s work on my project came with long detailed discussions on my style and vision for the logo. Throughout the process, I found myself at ease yet absolutely stunned by her logo concepts and how she maintained a pulse on the look I sought to convey for my organization. The results exceeded my expectations and quite frankly my imagination on what I could expect from a designer. Her creativity sees no bounds and adapts to the needs of her clients consistently, bringing forth designs fit for businesses and groups large or small.”
